About PeggySue
The Fun Bio
We’ve heard of soccer moms and stage mothers. I’m a writer who trailers my kids and horses across the nation. My Apple computer, fondly christened MacBeth, is the essential I bring along.
I have the dirtiest computer—not in the bad language manner but in the covered-with-a-film-of-dust-and-dirt category. Whether I’m working on my own projects or writing and editing for clients, my office is MacBeth and me in the stands, in a chair near the practice field, in the hotel early in the morning, and at the beach late at night.
Because I want to have it all—a creative and supportive environment where my children thrive, and the opportunity for me to connect with the world through words. In the hours between my daughter’s runs, homework, and art projects, I write in the center of people and activity. It’s all material, after all. Our explorations provide interesting fodder for writing projects.
Home is Narnia in the winter and the Hundred Acre Wood in summer, and Savannah Grey tea with dark chocolate all year long. Family, friends, floor to ceiling bookshelves, bonfires, wonder, and adventure. Poignant and winsome, the stuff of life is the stuff of story.
